Is it Christmas yet?
October 6, 2019
I love Christmas. It really is the most wonderful time of the year,
for me anyway. I love the weather, the colors, the traditions and
decorations. I even love how the air has this distinct smell and
feel. Have you ever noticed that? If you haven’t, stop this year and
pay close attention to a winter night. You’ll know what I’m talking
about.
Having had my first child in March of this year (2019) I am the most
excited about this Christmas. It’ll be Grayson’s first Christmas and
I am so excited for all the new and old family traditions that Kyle
and I are going to share with him, one being, of course, a Christmas
family photo! But why in October? Well, did I not mentioned that I
LOVE Christmas? I just couldn’t wait to take his photos to make
Christmas cards to send to family and friends.
Even though it sounds crazy that I went ahead and took our holiday
photos a few months too soon, I’m glad I did. This shoot had to be
perfect, so I had to have time to planned it out. I wanted to keep
it simple in order to make him the main focus so I went with an
all-white background and some Christmas trees. The twinkle lights
were added to give warmth and a magic feel to the images. But once
Gray was added to the set, everything came together. It was simply
magical, much like Christmas Day.
